Frequently Asked Questions

  • A portrait commission is a bespoke, guided experience designed to create finished artwork for your home — refined wall art, handcrafted albums, and museum-grade prints.

You are not simply booking a session.
    You are commissioning heirloom portraiture.

Each commission includes thoughtful planning, a calm and guided portrait session in Bermuda, and the design of artwork intended to endure for generations.

  • You will never be left guessing.

I direct gently throughout — how to stand, where to place your hands, how to move naturally — while keeping the experience relaxed and unforced.

The goal is not stiff posing.
    It is connection.

    Portraits that feel like you.

  • That is completely normal — and expected.

Family portrait sessions are designed to be child-friendly and unhurried. There is space for movement, breaks, and curiosity.

I work with connection rather than perfection. Often, the most meaningful images come from the in-between moments — shared laughter, quiet closeness, natural gestures.

There is no expectation for children to “perform.” Children are welcome exactly as they are.

  • Couples sessions are designed to feel natural and calm.

You are guided gently, but there is space for stillness and intimacy. Most couples quickly forget the camera is there.

The focus is not posing perfectly — it is honoring your connection.

  • Yes.

Whether you are marking a milestone birthday, celebrating personal growth, or creating refined personal branding portraits, you will be guided throughout.

You do not need to know how to pose.

    That is my role.

The session is structured to feel calm, supportive, and intentional.

  • Portrait commissions are designed to feel spacious without taking over your day.

Most sessions range from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the collection selected.

We plan around your family’s rhythm, your travel schedule, and the type of imagery you are drawn to.

  • After reserving your commission, you will receive guidance on tones and textures that photograph beautifully.

Soft, neutral palettes and timeless pieces work best. Coordinating — rather than matching — allows connection to remain the focus.

If you wish, we can also consider your home’s aesthetic so your final artwork feels seamlessly placed.

  • Portraits may take place outdoors in Bermuda’s natural landscapes or in a quiet studio setting, depending on the atmosphere you are drawn to.

In-home sessions are also possible for families who desire something intimate and personal.

If you are visiting Bermuda, I will guide you toward locations that feel effortless and meaningful.

During our planning conversation, we choose a location that feels aligned with your story.

  • If we are planning an outdoor session and the weather shifts, we adjust with care. We may reschedule or adapt the setting as needed to preserve the quality and calm of your experience.

  • Portrait commissions are intentionally limited each month to ensure a calm and attentive experience.

I recommend reaching out several weeks in advance, particularly during spring and autumn, when light and weather are especially beautiful in Bermuda.
